This year has been about looking back at pieces I made in 2023 and quietly treading new ground, taking a step at a time, and allowing my art to unfold without any set destination.

From starting the year working in just charcoal, discovering I could use brushes and other tools to create the marks and textures I wanted.  To adding watercolour into the mix, and repurposing large paintings to create different landscapes, and adding fine liner and oil pastel details.   As well as making the discovery of  my first tiny house in a painting.  I think it was Tree Retreat, and then more popped up in other paintings too, it has been an ad adventure of exploring new paths in my art practice.

There’s been some breakthroughs, some failures and lots of learnings to carry forward.
