This painting originally started life as a mark larger watercolour piece, before I went in search of hidden treasures, shapes and lines in it. The path leading up to the Tree Retreat revealed itself first, before noticing the building hidden amongst the trees.
In gentle hues of blue and green this sanctuary in the woods resonates a moment of calm.
